Newsletter 21st April 2009

Hi Everyone,

First of all may we thank all of you who made it to The Borderline. The London venue was packed and the atmosphere electric as the audience enjoyed the mild and the wild side of NTB, featuring songs from our new Vancouver 97 album. We’re invited back already so watch this space for the date.

If you don’t already have a ticket for our Bristol gig on Saturday 25th April at The Reckless Engineer, you’re too late, it’s seriously SOLD OUT! Make sure you book in advance next time. For those of you who do have tickets, our very special guest is Bristol’s own Katey Brook. Her writing and voice are haunting and mesmerizing in the vein of Joni Mitchel.

If you’ve missed out on Bristol this time, it’s not too far to travel to our eagerly anticipated return gig at Mr Kyps in Poole, Friday 29th May. This really is a fantastic venue, big stage, great sound and a very warm and friendly vibe. Perhaps because the boss Mr Kyp is himself, a special warm friendly man who just loves his music and want to keep it LIVE! Special guest on this occasion is Nick Tatham, a young and talented singer songwriter from Dorset with an amazing voice. He’s just finished his latest EP and is surely destined for greater things (www.myspace.com/nicktatham). You know the go… CLICK HERE to buy your tickets NOW!

Our next London show is at The Bulls Head in Barnes on Monday 27th April (click here to go to the gig page). This month, our special guest is Tallulah Rendall, Dame Shirley Bassey’s goddaughter (www.myspace.com/tallulahrendall). We met her at The Dame’s 70th birthday party, where, as a surprise, she got onstage with her band and performed The Living Tree for DSB. Her version is really cool. Also appearing is Carina Coen, another very talented singer songwriter on a mission to save the world. You can find out more about music and her work at www.marineconnection.org and www.mercarina.com. Doors 8pm. Not To Be Missed!

Thanks again to all of you that keep coming and introducing new friends to the world of NTB, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

For those of you who can’t make any of the upcoming gigs, remember that the Vancouver 97 album is now on sale. CLICK HERE to order your copy today.

Keep on rocking and spread the word,

Peace & Love Nikki, Been, The Boys and all at Team NTB
