Classic Rock Society Magazine – Sep 2005

I’d heard good things about this band but my god can this girl sing! Nikki Lamborn has a real gutsy, corker of a voice that’s drawn comparisons with Janis Joplin and Tina Turner. I’d cite Maggie Bell, particularly on the opening track ‘Cry For Love‘, and Heart.

Paired with strong songwriter and keyboard player Catherine ‘Been’ Feeney, this re-release of the 2002 album has extra tracks and ranges from straightforward romantic ballads to the big, Bond style glamour of ‘The Living Tree‘ to the Pretenders-like ‘Kiss Kiss‘.

Supported by a solid band with a range of guest strings and brass, this rocks.
